What Fire Logbook provides

Inspection recordkeeping tools

Emergency lighting and exit-sign inspection records, notes, photos, deficiencies, and PDF exports.

PDF report generation

Timestamped PDF records for internal review and recordkeeping.

Recordkeeping only

Fire Logbook does not certify compliance or replace professional inspection, maintenance, legal advice, fire-code advice, or direction from the authority having jurisdiction.

Emergency use

Not for emergency response

Fire Logbook is not an emergency response tool. In an emergency, follow your emergency procedures and contact emergency services.

Your obligations

Your responsibilities

Accuracy of information

You are responsible for the accuracy of all inspection data, names, and records entered into the app.

Reviewing records before relying on them

You are responsible for reviewing reports and records before relying on them or sharing them.

Required inspections and tests

You are responsible for completing required inspections and tests according to the rules that apply to your organization.

Maintaining records according to applicable requirements

You are responsible for maintaining your organization's records according to applicable local fire-safety requirements.

Keeping credentials secure

You are responsible for the security of your account login credentials. Do not share your password.

Managing organization access

You are responsible for managing user access within your organization and removing access when it is no longer needed.

User content

Records, photos, and documents

Users remain responsible for records, notes, photos, and documents they submit. You must have the right to upload, store, and use the content you add to Fire Logbook.

Availability

Service availability and exports

The service may be updated, interrupted, or unavailable from time to time.

Export or download records that your organization needs to retain.

Do not rely on the app as the only copy of records your organization is required to keep.

Account access

Suspension or termination

Niktasoft may suspend access for misuse, security risk, or violation of these terms. Users may contact support for account or data questions.

Intellectual property

Software, UI, and documentation

Fire Logbook software, UI, branding, and documentation belong to Niktasoft. Users may not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the service.

By using this service

By using Fire Logbook, you agree to these Terms of Service, confirm you understand the scope of the tool, and commit to maintaining accurate records and secure credentials for your organization.

Disclaimers

Limitations of the service

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as-is. Niktasoft is not responsible for missed inspections, inaccurate user-entered data, failed maintenance, code violations, or decisions by authorities or inspectors.

Governing law

Ontario and Canada

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, unless a lawyer advises otherwise.

Updates

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Fire Logbook after an update means acceptance of the updated terms.
